Tillandsia (air plant) in Bloom Today

I did a post a month or so ago about falling in love with tillandsias. They continue to amaze me. Today this beauty decided to bloom, and I am home alone. I had to show someone! so.....that would be you :) For years when someone said "air plant" I pictured this dried up looking thing on someone's desk or on a refrigerator magnet. A whole world has opened up to me. I have always loved gardening, and also work in soil outside. But this....it is almost ethereal to me.
