When we bought our colonial fixer upper a couple months ago this was the room that would soon be my son, Charlie's room. There was a lot to love in this space... yeah I know, I sound like a crazy lady. I could see the potential, all the natural light, the size. It just need a little love! Here are the before photos of the space.
We started by taking all the furniture out that was left by the previous residents. We strip wallpaper until our fingers felt like they were going to fall off and got rid of the old carpet.
After a little paint and new hardwood floors, here we are today!
You can find the how-to to his easy and cheap art station on the blog.
We added shelves for book storage and natural roman shades for the windows. They still allow natural light to come through without weighing the room down. I just didn't feel like it was necessary to add curtains in this room. You can find the how-to for the no-sew teepee and toy cubby on the blog as well.
With some time and hard work, this room has really come together. I couldn't be happier with the result! You can find all the details on the room as well as more photos of the space.
