DIY Speckled Robin's Eggs

I love all of the speckled bird eggs you see lately in Spring decor and accessories but they can be pricey! So I figured out a way to DIY them.

I found these chalky finish eggs at my local Walmart for $2 per dozen. I chose three different shades of light blue chalk paint and I painted 4 eggs in each shade.

Next I dipped an old toothbrush in to dark brown craft paint and then used my finger to splatter the eggs.

This is the messy part so wear an old shirt!

They turned out great! I just love all of the different shades of blue.

I chose to display them all together in a glass vase I already had in our living room. They make a nice and inexpensive Spring addition.
