Does it happen to you that you use some stuff for a project, and then the same stuff appear everywhere in your house? This time it is tins, I have plenty of them, most of paints and some new ones friends bring me after they saw my rustic tin vase (http://sweethings.net/rustic-tin-vase/). Should I learn to say “no, thank you”? At the moment, I accepted these two. Then I found a group of sweet ladies participating in a monthly challenge, being February “No Sew Project” and an idea struck me. I took and old napkin which had some bleach stains and couldn’t be used for fancy projects.
I cut it in half, and wrapped the can with it
For the bottom, I made some cuts and glued the fabric
I added some laces, and two rosettes I made out of scrap fabric, and I had two cute fabric wrapped tins!!
I thought they would look great in the old wicker basket (http://sweethings.net/the-old-wicker-basket/) too.
.
One of the things I like more is that is cost me nothing as I had the materials already. So don’t throw away your tins, you can make beautiful details for your home.
Thank you so much to my lovely co-hosts, Jeanette from Snazzy Little Things and Meredith from Arts and Classy. You can join us next month for the March Challenge, where the theme is “Furniture Flip” using $20.00 or less.
Do you want to see some other projects? Just check the Gallery (http://sweethings.net/home-english/).
