Meet Ocean Breeze

Hi! it's Mary from Orphans With Makeup and if you are like me, with no Spring weather in sight, well at least we can enjoy some new Spring Colors!
I was so happy to see a new "blue" in the Spring line-up of paint colours and it does not disappoint. Make room for "Ocean Breeze". It's a soft, tranquil shade of blue, like the ocean.





After painting and distressing this dresser from the 1920's, I used White Wax to emphasize the details and carvings.





New brass and leather hardware was replaced and the top was stripped to the bare wood and then waxed for protection.

















Now if you are wondering how this new blue compares to some of the other blues. Below is a side-by-side comparison.





The first two candle holders to the left are painted in "Elegance", the two middle candle holders are painted in "Icicle" and the two to the right are the new "Ocean Breeze".
I like mixing all these blues together to create a layered effect on my table scape, just as I would also use all of these blue paint colours to create layering on furniture.
