Repurposed Kitchen Cabinet Door Covers Ugly Fuse Box

I am positive that I am not the only one that has a fuse box they want to hide. We recently remodeled our kitchen and saved the old doors. I decided to use one of them to cover the fuse box.

See the fuse box? I painted it the same color as the wall to disguise it, but it still shows. One of the cabinet doors just happened to be slightly larger than the fuse box. I had been looking at message centers online and had been wanting one.

We took off the old trim then sanded the old paint and stain off. We replaced the old trim and stainted it red mahogany. We decided to do half chalkboard and half corkboard. I purchased spray chalkboard paint and a roll of cork with adhesive backing at the Home Depot.

I painted 4 coats of the chalkboard paint on one half. We used a razor blade to cut the corkboard to fit the other half.
